University Style Guide

University Style Guide

At Chico State, our identity is not just a motto or logo. It is a promise we make and actions we take to support our foundational principles: high-quality and transformative education, affordability, diversity, civic and community engagement, sustainability, collaboration, accountability, transparency, trust, respect, and shared governance.

We all share a responsibility to present the University correctly in every form of communication, whether it occurs in print, online, or in our daily conversations. This guide is designed empower campus communicators to exercise their creativity while still maintaining institutional cohesion. This builds trust with our audiences and strengthens the stories we tell on behalf of the University.

Adobe Express Users: Please note that the Chico State branded templates have been moved from the “Chico State Brand” to the “Chico State” Project folderIf you have already accessed the Brand kit (which still contains, fonts, colors, etc.), it will still be visible on the left side menu of your Adobe Express account and it may also be accessed within the “Chico State” Project folder. Adobe Express no longer allows templates to be stored in Brands. We’re sorry for any inconvenience. Please email Rose Duncan with any questions.
