Scholarship Criteria

The College of Agriculture Recruitment Scholarship Application is available each fall for the following academic year.

Top prospective first-time freshmen from the College of Agriculture recruitment scholarship pool will be invited to apply for the Bell Family President’s Scholarship. Bell Family Presidential Scholars are selected from the College of Agriculture Recruitment Scholarship applicant pool based on academic achievement, commitment to agriculture, leadership and civic engagement. Recipients receive full coverage of undergraduate tuition and student fees for up to four years. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Declared undergraduate major in the College of Agriculture
  • First-time Freshman
  • California residents
  • Minimum High school GPA 3.5
  • Minimum 1200 SAT I Reasoning Test score (includes verbal plus mathematics), or a 27 ACT score. FOR FALL 2021, SAT/ACT SCORE REQUIREMENT WAIVED.
  • Must demonstrate leadership and service, as well as a strong commitment to agriculture.
  • Continued renewal/eligibility requires scholars maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 in university coursework each term.

To apply for the Bell Family Presidential Scholarship, students must first complete the College of Agriculture Recruitment Scholarship Application.
