Biography

Linda Dias Mobilio was born and raised in Chico, California. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies (1995) and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with CLAD emphasis (1996) from California State University, Chico. From 1996-2002, she taught elementary school, grades 2-6, in two northern California public school districts. During that time, she also worked briefly as a Teacher Consultant for the Northern California Writing Project where she delivered staff development workshops to teachers across numerous Northern California school districts on the teaching of writing.

Linda earned a Master of Arts Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, from Chico State in the fall of 2002, and in 2006, she became employed at Chico State, in the School of Education as a University Supervisor. Over the years, her responsibilities grew to include teaching and administrative duties along with candidate supervision. From the Fall of 2016 through the Summer of 2021, she was the Coordinator of the Multiple Subject Credential Program. Currently, in addition to teaching and supervising, she is the Coordinator of Clinical Practice for the School of Education.

In 2001, her children’s book, Feeling Safe with Officer Frank, was published. It was written to honor her late husband, who was killed in the line of duty, as well as teach our youth about law enforcement officers by humanizing those professionals who “wear the blue” to serve and protect.

When not immersing herself in educationally-related topics, she enjoys spending time with her two sons, Luke and Brock, her family, and her friends. She also enjoys exploring new travel destinations.
