Incoming freshman and transfer students are eligible to apply for $1000-$2000 MSTI Recruitment Scholarships. These funds are awarded to incoming students with the academic and professional goal of being a secondary (middle or high school) teacher in math or science.

Any student newly admitted to Chico State for Fall 2024 is eligible to apply. Your name should be on all submitted documents, in title and on document.
Late applications may be considered based on scholarship fund availability.

- Transcripts: Incoming freshmen must provide an (unofficial) copy of your high school transcript showing the list of the courses you have completed and the grades received, as well as a list of your current courses. Transfer students must provide an (unofficial) copy of your college or community college transcript showing the list of courses you have completed and the grades received, as well as a list of your current courses.
- A one-page (maximum) personal statement that addresses your career goals, your reasons for wanting to become a math or science teacher, and assets you would bring to the program.
