The GREAT Teachers Pipeline application will soon be open for submissions! The application itself is simple:

  1. Fill out a survey requesting your basic demographics & contact information.
  2. Complete the short essay prompts (200-250 words each).

For new students to the grant, you have two prompts:

  1. Two short (<250 words) essays
    1. (a) What barriers have you faced when pursuing your educational/ professional goals?
      (b) How have the student categories* you checked above (if any) and/or your own personal experiences impacted your progress towards meeting these goals? (Expected word count 200-250 total.)
*List is in application but broadly includes underserved populations.

    2. “What do you already know about social-emotional learning (SEL)? What are you interested in learning?”
Note: You are NOT scored on what you know. We will use this information as a baseline for professional development.

For returning students to the grant, you have three prompts (only two are scored):

  1. We are interested in how participating in this grant has helped you pursue your academic and career goals.
Please describe how participating in this grant has supported you in addressing the financial barriers you experience in pursuing your educational goals (50-250 words). Feel free to use bullet point for the response. Note: This prompt is not scored for acceptance.
  2. We are interested in how participating in this grant has helped you pursue your academic and career goals while overcoming some of the barriers you had experienced.
Other than financial assistance, please describe ways that the grant has supported you in pursuing your educational goals (Expected word count 200 - 250 total). Note: This item IS scored for acceptance.
  3. Please describe at least two important strategies or concepts that you have learned from the PD events. How have you applied these strategies in your own life or your work? (Expected word count 200- 250 total.) Note: This item IS scored for acceptance.
