Grace Eckholm (she/her)
Hi! My name is Grace Eckholm. I am a senior here at Chico State with a major in Communication and Public Affairs and a minor in Psychology. Academic Coaching is a phenomenal program that has the power to alter one's academic career -- including mine! I utilized this resource as an underclassman during a peak time of struggle in my academic journey. I am beyond excited to apply the skills I have learned from personal experience and growth to assist students just like me! I want to raise awareness of this resource and let others know that having a disability is something to be proud of as it makes you who you are. College is a major life transition and the obstacles some face can come as a complete surprise. I am looking forward to supporting students through the highs and lows of their academic journeys and wish to provide a validating, safe, and encouraging environment to promote growth and well-being. I am confident that my past and personal experiences will be of great aid when connecting with students to make them feel confident within themselves. In my spare time, I enjoy riding horses, hot yoga, playing with my six cats, and spending time with friends and family. I am from the Sonoma County area where I enjoy beach days and long refreshing hikes. I am beyond excited to see what this year has in store for me!
