Karina Chavez
Hello! My name is Karina Chavez and I am excited to be an Academic Coach for ARC! I graduated from CSU, Monterey Bay in the spring of 2023 with my BA in Psychology, and I am currently attending Chico State’s Marriage and Family Therapy MS program. Being first-generation, I had to navigate the education system on my own, which I know can be a difficult process. My goal as an Academic Coach is to provide students with resources and support throughout their educational and personal journey here at Chico State. I am passionate about using experiences as learning opportunities as I value growth in every part of my life. Outside of school, some of my favorite things to do include cooking, yoga, pilates, and thrifting. I also enjoy trying new things and finding communities to be a part of.
