Natalie Carter

Hello! My name is Natalie Carter and I am a senior at Chico State. I am currently in the undergrad program for Communication Sciences and Disorders. My goal is to go into the Master's program after this year and one day become a Speech Language Pathologist who helps others with Speech Therapy. Before I was at Chico State I was a student at the local community college, Butte College, so I have a good idea of what it is like to be a transfer student coming to a bigger university for the first time. It can be pretty scary, but there are so many people on campus who care and want to see every student succeed. I was also born and raised in Chico, and I love this town and its quirks. My favorite time of the year in Chico is Fall, the weather is usually so nice and it looks so pretty outside. In my spare time I like to read, watch movies or TV shows, crochet, and hang out with my friends and my cats. This is my first semester as an Academic Coach and I am super excited to meet new people and become a helping hand. I know this program will be able to help so many people and I am very thankful to be a part of it. Life happens and sometimes it can be hard to stay organized and maintain good study or homework habits, but I hope I can help by being a tool that can help build the pathways toward academic success.
