Rebecca Brooks
Hello fellow students! My name is Rebecca Brooks. I was born in the Bay Area but spent most of my childhood in Phoenix, AZ. I decided to go back to college later in life and transferred from Butte College to Chico State where I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in philosophy in December 2022. I also managed to squeeze in all prerequisite classes needed to begin a special education teaching credential before graduating Cum Laude. I am now a graduate student and have just started the MFT program here at Chico State. I am passionate about helping people have access to the tools and supports they need to succeed in their goals. In my spare time, I grow a lot of different herbs, vegetables, and flowers. I had a lot of gardening and landscaping jobs in Arizona, the San Francisco area, and Cleveland, Ohio. Since I grew up in the desert, I love growing cacti! I read whenever I can. I love quality time with my son and partner, and we all love playing video games together.
