The Accounting Society (AS) brings accounting students, professors, and professionals together in business and social environments in order to enhance the skills and knowledge that are necessary to become successful in the field of accounting. You will meet people from the top four accounting firms in the US, local CPA firms, government agencies, and accounting departments from large corporations that are eager to meet the future of their company. Our Mission is to provide students with a way to gain information about industry leaders by meeting directly with company representatives. During our meetings we have guest speakers that could be faculty, industry leaders, company recruiters, etc. This gives our members a chance to speak with our guests before and after each presentation. Topics covered range from employment opportunities, information on that particular companies, interviewing and resume techniques, course selection and up-coming events in the academic world. The BIS Society is about networking, learning and having fun.

Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization

The Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) is designed to inspire, motivate and educate the entrepreneurs of Chico State in order to create more opportunities for success. The organization's mission is to provide resources and networking opportunities necessary to foster entrepreneurship, enabling young professionals to launch their ideas by developing and executing new ventures. The CEO is a national organization that wants to foster the entrepreneurial spirit amongst the students who attend Chico State. CEO group meetings entail a candid give-and-take, where trusted peers and successful entrepreneurs ask each other tough, in-depth questions that get to the heart of any business problem. As part of these meetings, members receive direct and honest feedback and derive actionable ideas they can implement immediately into their business.

Starting in 2017, the Professional Consulting Group (PCG) aims to create a foundation for students that facilitates learning and development of analytical and presentation skills. Its mission is to prepare students of all levels and backgrounds for possible consulting careers by providing case-solving tools and industrial knowledge. The club has three main purposes: to teach its members the skills and tools fundamental in varying branches of consulting, to provide students with practical experience by working on projects with local, national and international businesses, and to bridge the gap between its members and the consulting industry through company visits and networking events.

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management.
