Business Analytics

Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems (BSIS)

Business Analytics focuses on data, analysis methods, and technologies for solving business problems and gaining insight from data. Our program equips students with innovative and forward-looking disciplinary knowledge to help them  understand how to generate and use data  in business organizations. Students also examine contemporary issues in business intelligence and internet security issues including cybertourist.

We teach students “data blending” techniques using Structural Query Language (SQL) and advanced data modeling to analyze the huge amount of data companies collect. Students also learn how to  use state-of-the-art analytic algorithms  such as machine learning and natural language processing to investigate business problems. They also learn about  cloud computing using a deep-dive into Amazon’s cloud in its market-leading e-commerce business. Students in the program learn how to design and develop Data Warehouses.

Getting involved with the BIS Society and the SAP Club will promote you to the front as you interact with the partners that will soon be looking to hire you.
