Appeals
To request an appeal:
- log in to your Financial Aid account (create an account if you don't have one)
- Click the red button "Manage Requests" at the top right corner
- Find the appropriate appeal and click the + button

Cost of Attendance, Childcare/Dependent Care/Tuition and Travel Appeal: will close on May 15, 2026
- Cost of Attendance
- purchase of a computer for school
- living expenses beyond your cost of attendance
- car repairs
- Childcare expenses or elementary/secondary school tuition
- Substantial non-reimbursed travel or commuting expenses

- Consent to Release Financial Aid Information to On-Campus Department/Organization or to External Party:
- Log in to your Financial Aid Account(opens in new window). If you have not logged into your Financial Aid Account before, you will need to create an account. (To create an account, enter your name exactly as it appears on your FAFSA or CADAA).
- Select the "Manage Requests" button at the top right corner of your Financial Aid Account and click the plus sign to the right of "Consent to Release Information On-Campus" or "Consent to Release information to External Party" for the appropriate academic year.

Appeals

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal will be assigned to you in late June if needed
Special Circumstance Appeal - Open May 1
- Significant reduction of income due to job loss, reduced hours or other circumstances
- Financial support of extended family members
- Loss of home or property due to fire or other disaster
- More than one student in college within family
- Substantial non-reimbursed medical, dental and/or vision expenses
- Change in student marital status
- Childcare expenses or elementary/secondary school tuition
- Substantial non-reimbursed travel or commuting expenses
- purchase of a computer for school
- living expenses beyond your cost of attendance
