Departments
The College of Business has three departments offering nine options and eleven minors. These options and minors allow students to specialize in focused areas and gain the knowledge and skills relevant to their personal and professional aspirations.
Information Systems, Finance & Accounting Department
The first university program in California to establish a Business Information Systems (BSIS), the CSU, Chico College of Business developed this degree program to provide students a career-relevant curriculum that prepares them for today’s technologically sophisticated global business environment. The BSIS degree was designed to meet the growing job demands for professional consultants, business process analysts, project managers, IT infrastructure specialists, SAP functional analysts, logistics specialists, and production managers.
Management Department
The Management Department delivers courses designed to develop skills in the administration of human and physical resources, foster decision-making and entrepreneurial thinking, and provide students with exposure to diverse business environments and management strategies. Management graduates can apply their skills to developing entrepreneurial ventures or positions in personnel management, production management, retail management, operations management, or government and private non-profit administration.
Marketing Department
The Marketing Department focuses on the development and delivery of courses leading to undergraduate degrees in business administration with the marketing option. Our experienced faculty prepares students for challenging and rewarding careers in a global business environment.
